Transportation officials say work is starting on an effort known as “TheLloyd4U.” We are learning it includes more than a dozen improvement projects worth more than $100 million along the Lloyd Expressway. Here is the announcement Wednesday afternoon. The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) says the plan is to make the Lloyd more efficient and safer for drivers. more than $100 million in infrastructure improvements. That could be invested anywhere in the state but INDOT has chosen to invest it here because they see the progress that is being made in Evansville and Southwest Indiana, and they know that we need this kind of investment to continue making the positive progress that we’ve already experienced to date. The improvement projects are divided into two phases. Phase One extends from Rosenberger Avenue to Cross Pointe Boulevard. Traffic analysis and design concepts are underway on Phase One.
